How to Install Your Showerhead

Setting up your Klenzy takes under 2 minutes and doesn't require any special tools. Grab the included plumber's tape, hose, and connector, then follow the steps below to start enjoying cleaner, filtered showers.

Installation Steps

Switch Off the Water

Start by turning off the water supply to your shower. This keeps things dry and mess-free while you work.

Take Off the Old Showerhead

  • Unscrew your current showerhead by turning it counter-clockwise.
  • If it's stuck, wrap a cloth around it and use an adjustable wrench for extra grip.
  • Have a small towel ready for a bit of leftover water that may drip out.

Clean the Threaded Pipe

  • Wipe down the exposed threads on the shower arm.
  • Remove any old tape, grime, or mineral buildup so the new connection sits flush.

Wrap with Plumber's Tape

Wind the included plumber's tape snugly around the threads, overlapping as you go. This creates a watertight seal and helps prevent drips once everything is connected.

Screw On the Connector

Thread the connector onto the shower arm by hand and tighten until it feels firm. There's no need for heavy force. Hand-tight is all it takes.

Connect the Hose

Attach one end of the shower hose to the connector you just installed. Give it a firm hand-tighten to make sure it's secure.

Attach the Showerhead

Take the other end of the hose and screw it onto your Klenzy showerhead. Again, hand-tight is perfect. No tools needed.

Turn the Water Back On

  • Open the water supply slowly and let the pressure build up gradually.
  • Inspect every connection point. The shower arm, hose, and showerhead for any signs of dripping.
  • If you spot a small leak, gently tighten that connection a bit more.

Position Your Showerhead

Angle the showerhead to your preferred height and direction. The ball joint makes it easy to find the sweet spot.

Give It a Quick Test

Run the shower for about 10 seconds to flush any carbon dust from the new filter. Check one more time for leaks, and you're all set.

Tips for a Smooth Setup

  • Keep a towel or small bucket underneath while removing the old showerhead to catch any residual water.
  • Hand-tighten every connection. Over-tightening with tools can crack fittings or strip threads.
  • Still seeing a small drip? Add one more layer of plumber's tape to the threaded area and reconnect.
